A week-long tribute to the Norse god of snow, culminating in a costumed parade down Main Street and an attempt to set the world record for longest shot-ski. Locals take the costumes seriously.

Torchlight Parade & Fireworks
Ski patrollers and instructors descend Peak 9 carrying torches at midnight, followed by fireworks over the village. Multiple ski towns do versions of this; Breck's is the most photogenic.

Imperial Challenge
Multi-sport event from the rec center up to Imperial Bowl: bike to Peak 8, then skin and ski to the summit. Costume division gets the loudest cheers.
